As the ASP Top 45 gear up for the South Pacific leg of the 2008 ASP World Tour, our rookies have logged in two events and gotten a taste of life amongst the world's best. 6.0 Lowers Pro Attracts the Big Dogs
The ASP WQS 6.0 Lowers Pro is preparing to kick off at the world-famous Lower Trestles, and the possibility of tearing into some rippable cobblestone walls has attracted some of the biggest names in surfing. ASP Top 45 stalwarts Taylor Knox (USA), Ben Bourgeois (USA), Fred Patacchia (HAW), Adriano de Souza (BRA) and Chris Ward (USA) will all be in attendance and looking to show the hungry campaigners on the ’QS a thing or two about solid ripping. Back-to-Back at Hyundai Malfunction
Defending Hyundai Malfunction Champions, Dane Pioli of Wollongong and Chelsea Williams of the Tweed Coast, defended their respective titles this past weekend in fun waves at Kingscliff. The multi-day event saw some of the world’s best longboarding go down at the final Australian ASP WLQS of the season.Full Report...
Von Zipper/Air Tahiti Nui Trials Goes Big
As the 2008 Dream Tour prepares to assault the South Pacific, the world’s most terrifying wave has roared to life for the Von Zipper/Air Tahiti Nui Trials at Tahiti’s Teahupoo. 64 handpicked hellman from around the globe are battling it out for two wildcards into the Billabong Pro Teahupoo where they will face the best in the world. After a few more days of battle, the dust will have cleared and we’ll have our trialists, but until then check out all the action.Check the Images...

After a slow start in Scotland, the ASP WQS 6-Star Prim O’Neill Highland Open pres. by Swatch is getting underway and the points are there for the taking. Next week we should have some big changes on the ASP WQS ratings with the completion of the O’Neill Highland Open as well as the ASP WQS 4-Star 6.0 Lowers Pro in California. There are some big guns showing up at Lower Trestles and if the world-class wave turns on, there could be some exciting surfing going down.Get on the Hunt...
